Jericho Down began as the Praise and Worship band for Ignite Student Ministry. We’re just some guys who came together for the purpose of leading the youth of our church, First Baptist Garfield, before God’s throne in worship through music. We still play for our students weekly and see that as our main ministry but are also happy to play whenever and wherever God gives us the opportunity. We simply want to lift high the name of Jesus. Our background of classic rock, hard rock, southern rock, blues, and good old fashioned hymns as well as contemporary Christian music blends together in a sound that could only be described as praise and worship with an edge.

Contemporary Christian/Praise Music like Third Day, Decemberadio, Casting Crowns, Lincoln Brewster, Chris Tomlin…

Of course we grew up on classic, southern, and blues rock like Skynyrd, Tom Petty, Zeppelin, ZZTop, Ted Nugent, Eagles, Journey, Aerosmith, Hendrix, Clapton, Stevie Ray…

We like to Jam and we love to sing about Jesus so we have a lot of different influences. We even like the old southern gospel standard hymns, of course we like to jam ‘um up a little.
